BonaGrass played Dundee Wanderers 2nd’s in the third game of their Midlands Indoor campaign last night which ended 7-4 in favour of BonaGrass.
BonaGrass led 3-0 at half time with goals from Rachel, Debs McLeod and Vicky Ransford following relentless pressure on the Wanderers goal. BonaGrass stats showed 16 shots on goal to only 3 in reply from Wanderers with their first goal scored in the 16th minute.
The second half was a very different game in a 4-4 thriller! Wanderers hit back with a goal in the first minute of the second half to which Susie Roberts replied for BonaGrass with her first strike of this indoor campaign to make it 4 - 2. The game was end to end as BonaGrass struggled slightly with a change of personnel and a lack of communication between each other, however found a fifth goal through some fine stick work from Debs McLeod to earn them a penalty corner which was converted by McLeod from the transfer.
Wanderers then scored 2 goals to edge the score closer 4 - 5. In the final 5 minutes of the game, BonaGrass secured the points with a well worked goal from Oz and further silky skills from McLeod resulted in a second for Vicky Ransford which ensured the team’s 3rd win in a row!
